Dolphin Intelligent Screw Press Control System
The Dolphin Intelligent Screw Press Control System (DISS) is an advanced, fully automated, closed loop control system, to ensure continuous screw press operation. DISS offers both precise and quick action/response for pressing cone position and digital control. The system is built on a highly reliable and responsive digital hardware platform. It is suitable for all continuous screw press types and sizes.

Digital Motor Overload Protection System
DISS offers a more practical solution to motor overload protection compared to the much slower thermal overload systems. It works through the continuous feedback of measured screw motor current from a closed loop control system. This provides instantaneous interruption to the current in the event of overload from any small spike in the current, all in just a fraction of a second.
The trending application in DISS allows the monitoring of the screw press motor current over a period of time. Real time values are updated dynamically as a point is scanned and historical data is collected. This data is used to show the proportion of every motor current value captured into several identified ranges. A statistical review of tabulated frequencies in the form of a histogram allows the user to verify that the optimum pressing current falls in the highest frequency category.
Historical Alert & Event Summary
DISS’ Historical Alert and Event Summary provides an on-screen review of alarm and events stored in the historical alarm memory. It captures and records past operational conditions such as overload tripping disruptions and operational changes in real time.
DISS offers multi-language support on the operation control console and for the user manual.
Three Pressing Amperes Setting
Three (3) pressing ampere settings i.e. High-Medium-Low provides precise pressing control. The press is controlled in a tight range, optimized at the Medium setting which guarantees maximum oil extraction.
Historical Reporting System
DISS includes a historical reporting function for production tracking and review. The historical report includes: details on the settings, user login records, operating ampere histogram, and motor tripping recording.
Multi Level User Access
The system is designed for multi-level user access and incorporates password protection to prevent unauthorised system access. The system provides for two (2) levels of user access, namely; Administrator/Engineer, and authorised operations personnel.
DISS is integrated with a redundancy system override for switching to manual operations as a backup in the event of an electronic malfunction. This further ensures the reliability and up-time of the system.
